Features & Additional information

“TB-303 Versus SH-101” brings you iconic analog bass synths!

Both machines became a foundation for genres as techno, Chicago house, acid house, trance, 90s electro and so on. Originally made in 1981 by Roland these devices inspired numerous clones and are having their revival again these days! We sampled them through HQ preamps and edited them with special care to bring you these memorable sounds and give homage to the legendary acid beasts!Used by huge number of artist through decades, from 80s bands, Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, Boards of Canada, Jimmy Edgar to contemporary EDM, these synths gained a cult status among different producers. Various hardware and software re-issues and recreations followed up to these days making them some of the most important synthesisers in history. Another interesting fact is that TB-303 was designed by Tadao Kikumoto, who also designed the Roland TR-909 drum machine, which we have used in this pack too. TB-303 was marketed as a “computerised bass machine” to replace the bass guitar but it became a bass guitar only for techno heads! And we love it! We had so much fun tweaking these machines, pushing them up to their limits and playing them through various effects but also sampling them clean. Check this pack and find some raw acid sounds that had left huge imprint on a whole techno club scene and have been changing music world for the last four decades!
