We were extremely lucky to collaborate with drummer and producer Matt Ingram and create two unique products at London’s Livingston Studios earlier this year. Usually found at his East London Urchin Studios, Matt has drummed for the likes of Laura Marling, Florence, The Staves and Jake Bugg, and on the other side of the glass, has produced albums with Lianne La Havas, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Pearl. For his Drumdrops sessions Matt created a selection of tracks based around the Folk/Alt/Rock genres he specialises in. We then recorded each track in the two different studios at Livingston, to create a more lively and wet-sounding album plus a dryer and more dead sounding album. This pack, Booth drums, is the latter for which we set Matt and his stunning Hayman kit up in the dead booth in Livingston Studio 2. The mic selection and positioning was carefully chosen by engineer Luke Farnell, and is designed to deliver a really versatile dead sound that can be sculpt into almost anything you want.
