Trap Music began in Hip Hop where rappers hailing from the Southern United States would tell tales of a place called the ‘Trap’ – the local drug spot.

The signature sound of these songs by producers such as DJ Toomp, Shawty Redd, Drumma Boy and Zaytoven became known as Trap music. Fast forward 10 years and in addition to Hip Hop infused Trap, we now have a new offshoot of Trap based on EDM. This is growing in popularity as quickly as Dubstep did.

The Kits here pay homage to both the new Trap movement and its ever dominant Hip Hop roots and are inspired by artists such as Baauer, Flosstradamus, TNGHT, and ±Z along with their hot Hip Hop counterparts in both Trap and Drill such as Young Chop, Cardiak, Zaytoven, and Mike Will Made It.
