Mutant Drums Vol 1

Mutant Drums Vol.1 is a collection of 247 original drum samples consisting of loops/breaks and one-shots. The key ingredient and goal when creating this kit was experimentation—drum breaks with more edge, and one-shots with more character. Gear such as a 1970s reel-to-reel tape machine, an old multitrack cassette deck, and vintage outboard equipment were used for saturation and to boost the sonic presence. Capturing natural ambiances in a Banyan tree cave while recording percussion loops was a highlight of the process. Layering natural textures, vocal chants, and other abnormal elements helped spark creativity. Giving drums their own world to live in is what we strive for with every kit. We hope you find inspiration in Mutant Drums Vol.1!
