Behind the Scenes:
The process of recording these cymbals wasn’t without its challenges! Contact microphones had to be carefully fixed to the cymbal as vibrations often caused them to loosen. To prevent this, we used double-sided tape and performed constant monitoring to ensure they stayed in place during sessions. However, after a few recording sessions, we decided to push the cymbal even further, turning it inside out to capture those intense distorted metallic sounds that could only come from extreme manipulation. ⚡
