Desi Percussion brings the rich, rhythmic textures of South Asian music to your productions. “Desi” means “from the homeland” or “from the countryside,” and this pack captures authentic, hard-hitting grooves and inspiring South Asian beats.

This collection features instruments like Tabla, Ghatam, Ankle Bells, Kanjira, and Frame Drums, recorded using vintage microphones such as Neumann U67s and Sennheiser 441s, then processed through high-end gear including The Boqen MXM-A, ATR-102, The Unfairchild, and Gemini Mixer. Loops were further chopped and processed on the SP404-MKII, resulting in punchy grooves with a unique Desi character.

Produced by Kaushlesh “Garry” Purohit, a Grammy-winning Los Angeles-based audio engineer and music producer who has worked with artists like Boygenius, Harry Styles, Omar Apollo, and Carlos Santana.
