Memories: Melancholy Pop is a mixture of sounds created to invite you into the world of your memory. Inspired by artists like Sun Kil Moon, Nick Drake, John Fahey, and Ryuchi Sakamoto, this pack plays on both the wonder and power of nostalgia in music with a mixture of Brazilian rhythms and melodies as well as funk and hip-hop grooves. Created by composer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound engineer Jake Landau, this pack spans from soulful plucked string progressions (acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, trés, bass) to dreamy piano and synthesizer melodies to funky drum set and percussion grooves and moody melodic stacks that tie everything together.
